Senior Security Assurance & Validation Engineer 

• Day Rate: £500-£550pd
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Travel: Remote
• Duration: Initial 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Lead security assurance across Azure by validating that security controls are effectively designed, implemented, and enforced across Azure workloads, containerised environments, and Kubernetes platforms, ensuring secure cloud adoption at scale.
• Drive proactive security testing and validation through penetration testing, cloud configuration assessments, threat modelling, and security reviews to identify vulnerabilities, validate controls, and support continuous improvement of the organisation’s cloud security posture.
• Champion secure cloud engineering by working closely with cloud, platform, and engineering teams to embed security requirements into architecture, deployment, and operational processes, while supporting PCI DSS and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Bring deep technical expertise in Azure security, IaaS/PaaS security testing, Kubernetes and container security, Azure configuration remediation, and recognised certifications such as Microsoft SC-100 and OSCP, OSEP or CREST, with experience operating in regulated enterprise environments.
• Deliver measurable security outcomes by reducing cloud misconfigurations and vulnerabilities, improving control effectiveness, increasing audit readiness, and enabling consistent adoption of secure configuration baselines across Azure platforms and engineering teams.
