Cyber Security Engineer

I am currently working with an organisation dedicated to genuinely improving the lives of those in need and making a positive impact on the community who are looking for a looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join their expanding security function. This is a hands‑on technical security role focused on helping to strengthen and mature the organisation’s security posture across cloud, identity, endpoints and core infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing :

A broad mix of technical security and security assurance, including:

• Improving security across Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID
• Supporting identity security, Zero Trust principles, device compliance and endpoint protection
• Working with project teams to ensure new systems and changes are built securely
• Helping with audits, evidence gathering and security certifications (e.g., Cyber Essentials, ISO27001)
• Reviewing risks, advising on secure approaches, and strengthening guardrails across cloud and IT
• Collaborating with SOC, infrastructure and engineering teams to uplift controls and monitoring
• Supporting governance, policy updates and general GRC activities where needed

Details:

• Salary: up to £72,000
• Hybrid working (East Midlands)
