Senior Boomi Integration Developer – Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Boomi Integration Developer to join a major enterprise integration programme on an initial 5-month contract.This is a hands-on development role for a senior Boomi specialist who can independently build, test, deploy and support secure, resilient and production-quality integrations across complex enterprise environments.You will work from approved solution architecture and technical designs, translating business and integration requirements into robust Boomi solutions while working closely with architecture, security, QA, application and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement enterprise integrations using the Boomi platform.

• Translate approved solution and interface designs into secure, scalable and supportable Boomi integrations.

• Configure Boomi processes, connectors, profiles, maps, business rules and reusable components.

• Integrate enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, APIs, JSON, XML and CSV.

• Develop data mappings, transformations and validation rules across multiple source and target systems.

• Implement robust exception handling, logging, monitoring, alerting and operational support processes.

• Build resilient integrations using idempotency, retries, controlled reprocessing, correlation IDs, reconciliation and timeout handling.

• Implement appropriate API security controls, including OAuth 2.0/client credentials, certificates, secrets management, TLS/mTLS and least-privilege access.

• Manage Boomi environments, configuration, deployments, versioning, reusable components, certificates and secrets.

• Support controlled deployments across development, test, UAT and production environments.

• Prepare unit-test evidence and support SIT, UAT, defect resolution and go-live readiness.

• Investigate integration failures and contribute to root-cause analysis and production support.

• Produce technical specifications, interface documentation, data mappings, deployment notes and operational runbooks.

• Maintain accurate delivery records, dependencies, defects and traceability within Jira.

• Work collaboratively with solution architects, security teams, QA, application owners, business analysts, PMO and programme delivery teams.

• Escalate material design deviations, new integration patterns or security-impacting changes through the appropriate technical governance process.

Essential Experience

• Strong hands-on experience developing integrations using Dell Boomi / Boomi AtomSphere.

• Proven ability to independently deliver production-quality Boomi integrations from approved technical and solution designs.

• Strong experience with API and web-service integration, including REST and SOAP.

• Experience working with JSON, XML, CSV and other structured data formats.

• Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation and validation.

• Practical experience with Boomi environment and configuration management, deployment and versioning.

• Experience developing resilient integration solutions incorporating:

  • Idempotency

  • Retry and reprocessing mechanisms

  • Correlation IDs

  • Reconciliation

  • Timeout handling

  • API rate-limit handling

  • End-to-end transaction traceability

• Strong understanding of API security, including OAuth 2.0/client credentials, certificates, secrets management and TLS/mTLS.

• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, deployment and production transition.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.

• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

• Experience working within structured security, architecture, change and release governance.

Desirable Experience

• Integration experience across ERP, CRM, CPQ, CLM, Finance or SaaS platforms.

• Experience integrating with IFS Cloud or other enterprise ERP platforms.

• Experience with external tax, fiscal, invoicing or financial systems.

• Experience with high-volume or financially sensitive transactional integrations.

• Experience with audit logging, information security controls and production support.

• Previous experience working with Jira and Agile/Sprint-based delivery environments.

• Experience supporting go-live, operational readiness and post-production hypercare.
