Web Software Engineer (Contract)
Inside IR35 | £500-525/day | Fully Remote | Initial 3 Months
We’re partnering with a well-known digital business looking to bring in a Web Software Engineer to support a number of exciting web development and digital platform initiatives.
You’ll be joining a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining customer-facing applications used at scale. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working across modern web technologies, and contributing to high-quality software delivery.
This is an initial 3-month contract with an immediate start and strong potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using TypeScript and React.
- Build scalable, reusable and well-documented software solutions.
- Support the enhancement of existing applications and platforms.
- Collaborate with developers, product teams and stakeholders to deliver business-critical features.
- Improve application performance, reliability and maintainability.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing and engineering best practices.
- Assist with the modernisation and optimisation of existing systems.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working as a Web Software Engineer, Front End Engineer or Full Stack Engineer with 4-6 years of experience.
- Strong commercial experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands-on development experience with React.
- Experience working across modern web applications and platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfortable working within agile delivery teams.
