Senior Cloud & Database Architect — Ireland/Remote — 12-Month Contract

Our FS client are exiting a legacy data-centre hosting and migrating its infrastructure and database estate to Microsoft Azure. We’re seeking a hands-on Cloud & Database Architect to own the database migration workstream, sitting on the critical path.

You’ll own:

• Target-state Azure architecture — landing zones, networking, identity, security
• SQL Server → Azure SQL migration strategy (Managed Instance, Database, SQL on Azure VM), selecting tooling (Azure DMS, DMA) and cutover method per database to minimise downtime
• Database HA/DR design — Always On availability groups, geo-replication, failover, backup
• Independent review and challenge of the migration partner’s architecture and SoWs
• Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform) within CI/CD

You bring: 15+ years in cloud and database architecture; deep enterprise Azure and SQL Server-to-Azure SQL migration experience; Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred. Payments/regulated-environment and MySQL exposure a plus.
