Salary: Up to £63,890 + Excellent Benefits

Location: Walsall, West Midlands (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

La Fosse is partnering with a leading housing association to recruit an experienced Senior Business Analyst.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Transformation function, supporting a diverse portfolio of complex business and technology change initiatives while helping to develop and mature the organisation’s Business Analysis capability.

We’re looking for a confident, hands-on BA who can operate across both technical and business change projects, challenge stakeholders and bring practical experience to a developing team.

The Role

You’ll split your time between delivering complex projects and supporting the development of the wider BA function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead business analysis activities across multiple complex transformation projects, including systems implementations, integrations, data migrations and process improvement.

  • Facilitate workshops, gather and document requirements, map business processes and translate business needs into effective solutions.

  • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and aligned to business objectives.

  • Take ownership of testing activities, including test planning, UAT coordination, defect management and requirements traceability.

  • Proactively identify risks, gaps and opportunities for improvement, challenging stakeholders and influencing project outcomes.

  • Coach and mentor junior Business Analysts, providing guidance, feedback and quality assurance.

  • Help improve BA methodologies, templates, standards and ways of working across the function.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with a recognised BA qualification or certification.

  • Strong experience delivering complex business and technology transformation projects.

  • Excellent requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

  • Hands-on experience managing testing activities, including UAT, test planning and defect management.

  • Experience working across Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery environments.

  • A proven ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience mentoring junior BAs, reviewing deliverables or improving BA practices.

  • A proactive, pragmatic approach with the confidence to challenge assumptions and drive meaningful outcomes.

Experience within social housing would be advantageous but is not essential. We’re particularly interested in well-rounded Business Analysts who can adapt to different projects, stakeholders and technologies.

What’s on Offer?

  • Hybrid working – 2 days per week onsite in Walsall, with flexibility.

  • 27 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and additional paid leave over Christmas.

  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

  • Healthcare cash plan and additional employee benefits.

  • The opportunity to play a key role in a major organisational transformation while helping shape and improve an established BA function.
