Cyber Security Consultant 

A hands on Cyber SME role supporting an AI driven security data platform, validating metrics and data, refining controls and acting as the link between the business and technology provider.

• Day Rate: £600-£650pd
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Location: Remote
• Duration: Initial 3 months (scope to extend)               

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of an AI-driven cyber data programme, bringing security metrics and data sources together within a central data platform and supporting the onboarding of new data.
• Provide hands-on technical input across GRC, cyber data and security platforms, understanding data feeds, querying, logic and how security information is being used to generate meaningful insights.
• Review and challenge metrics, data and AI outputs to assess whether they provide a reliable view of control effectiveness, risk and the wider security environment.
• Work closely with GRC, security teams, data owners and the technology provider to work through the backlog, identify data or control gaps and drive improvements across the platform.
• Act as the SME between the business and service provider, supporting testing, refinement and go-live decisions while presenting key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
