Data Analytics Application Developer (Python)

Hybrid – Cambridge 2 days per week – 12 months

Our client, a reputable enterprise business, is looking for a Data Application Developer (Python) to join a growing Enterprise Data team, building apps to shape how data is accessed, understood, and used across the business.

Working within a modern data platform environment, you’ll develop intuitive analytics applications that enable users to gain insights from trusted data and make better decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver user-friendly solutions that improve data accessibility, onboarding, and adoption across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and enhancing analytics applications using Python and modern data technologies
• Creating user-focused solutions that simplify access to data and insights
• Working with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into valuable data products
• Supporting the development of reusable datasets, metrics, and reporting capabilities

What We’re Looking For

• Experience building data or analytics applications using Python in production level environments
• Experience working with modern data platforms (Databricks knowledge experience is required)
• Strong CI/CD experience, DevOps mindset to deployment
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills (inc. reporting and visualization tools)
• Understanding of software development best practices, version control, and deployment processes (DevOps approach, CI/CD)
