SOC Analyst

SOC Analyst 

• Day Rate: £450pd
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Travel: 2 days a week in Central London Office
• Duration: Initial 6 months                                         

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a SOC Analyst, with responsibility for monitoring, investigating and responding to cyber security incidents in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
• Hands on experience administering and optimising SIEM and EDR platforms, alongside threat hunting, security monitoring and developing automation through scripting or SOAR playbooks to improve response times and operational efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of threat intelligence, including identifying and sharing Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), analysing attack trends and proactively assessing emerging threats to reduce organisational risk.
• Broad technical understanding of network and endpoint security, including Windows, Linux and macOS, with experience securing enterprise environments through system hardening, patch management, firewalls, IDS/IPS and access controls.
• Experience improving Security Operations capabilities by developing security controls, standard operating procedures and incident management processes, while collaborating effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders during incident response and continuous security improvement.
