Senior Tester / QAT Automation Engineer – AWS / DevOps / CI/CD

SC or DV Cleared | Cloud-Native Engineering | AWS | Automation | Kubernetes

We are supporting a secure government engineering programme seeking a Senior Tester / QAT Automation Engineer to join a growing AWS cloud-native engineering team.

This is not a traditional manual testing role.

The requirement is much closer to a DevOps-aligned automation engineering position focused on improving deployment quality, automation maturity and delivery velocity across cloud-native engineering platforms.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside software engineers, DevOps specialists and platform teams within a heavily AWS-focused environment delivering microservices, event-driven systems and CI/CD-enabled engineering capability.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and implementing automation testing frameworks
• Supporting CI/CD and deployment automation workflows
• Performing API, integration and contract testing across distributed systems
• Working closely with DevOps and engineering teams to improve release quality and deployment velocity
• Supporting cloud-native testing within AWS environments
• Validating microservices and event-driven architectures
• Embedding testing capability within Agile engineering teams
• Improving automation maturity and deployment confidence across engineering delivery
