SOC Manager 

Our client requires a Contract SOC Manager to take the lead on their day-to-day Cyber Security Operations. This is a hands-on role where you’ll bring structure, clarity, and momentum to an evolving SOC environment.

• Day Rate: £600-£650pd
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Travel: 2 days a week in Liverpool Office
• Duration: 6 months initially 

Responsibilities: 

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the SOC, supporting and growing a small team of analysts while ensuring smooth delivery across in-hours and out-of-hours operations.
• Taking ownership of our security tooling (including Darktrace, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender), improving how these platforms work together to strengthen detection and response.
• Leading the development of a Cyber Threat Intelligence capability, including the introduction of new tools
• Making sure threat intelligence is not just collected, but meaningfully embedded into SOC workflows to drive proactive defence.
• Managing and improving the relationship with the current external SOC provider, while playing a key role in an upcoming RFP process to select a new partner.
