AI Delivery Lead / AI Delivery Manager (SC or DV Cleared)

£550-650/day Inside IR35

We’re supporting a major UK government organisation building a brand-new AI capability focused on operational AI delivery, intelligent automation and AI-enabled transformation.

They are looking for experienced AI Delivery Leads / Delivery Managers to help shape and operationalise a rapidly growing AI delivery function working across:

• Generative AI
• Intelligent Automation
• AI-enabled operational tooling
• Copilot / AI agents
• AI governance and assurance
• Rapid prototyping and operational rollout

This is not a traditional Delivery Manager role.

The successful candidate will sit at the centre of a newly forming AI delivery capability, helping manage the end-to-end delivery pipeline from:

• demand intake
• triage and prioritisation
• discovery
• prototype / alpha delivery
• governance and assurance
• operational rollout
• transition into BAU support

You’ll work closely with:

• operational SMEs
• engineering teams
• product leads
• AI specialists
• governance / assurance functions
• and senior stakeholders across the organisation.

The environment is highly collaborative, fast-moving and still evolving, so the ability to operate comfortably within ambiguity is critical.

Key experience required:

• Delivery leadership within complex digital, data or AI-enabled environments
• Agile and iterative delivery methodologies
• Managing delivery pipelines, prioritisation and dependencies
• Working across multidisciplinary technical teams
• AI / automation / emerging technology programmes
• Governance, operational readiness and assurance
• Stakeholder engagement within regulated or secure environments

Particularly valuable experience:

• AI-enabled transformation programmes
• Generative AI / Copilot initiatives
• Innovation labs or emerging technology delivery
• Law enforcement, defence or central government
• AI safety / governance awareness
• Product-led delivery environments
