Title: Solutions Architect- Infrastructure and Cloud
Role Type: Permanent, full-time

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Cloud and Infrastructure Architect to lead cloud adoption, infrastructure modernisation, and platform roadmaps, in alignment with Enterprise Architecture and organisational strategy. The role sets technical direction across hosting, networking, identity, and platform services, ensuring solutions are cost-effective, compliant, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities
•Mature the current cloud environment using: Landing Zones;CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework);WAF (Well-Architected Framework)
•Support transition from legacy infrastructure to CAF-aligned architecture
•Own the cloud roadmap and drive continuous improvement
•Lead infrastructure design across multiple business areas
•Engage with senior stakeholders across business and technology

Experience required:

•Proven delivery of Azure cloud and infrastructure solutions in complex environments.
•Expertise in cloud architecture: landing zones, governance, cost control, hybrid models.
•Strong networking, hosting, and identity skills (AD, federation, firewalls, VPNs, secure connectivity).
•Experience with IaC and automation (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Ansible).
•Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes in modern platforms.
•Design of resilient environments (DR, backup, monitoring, observability, incident response).
•Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD for automated, repeatable deployments.
•Familiarity with ISO 27001, NCSC, NHS DSP Toolkit, and secure-by-design principles.
•Experience shaping infrastructure roadmaps, legacy migration, and rationalisation.
•Strong stakeholder engagement, translating technical strategy for senior leaders.
