The team

Currently the team has 2 UX Designers, 1 UI Designer, and a contract Product Designer.

About you

  • Has worked in the financial services/fintech space

  • Looks after end-to-end design from the brief, to the research, to the final product

  • Solves complex UX challenges and making them simple to use

  • Ability to create exceptional designs - Ideally you'd have a portfolio which shows a design approach that is passionate, focused, and forward-thinking

Other Relevant Experience

  • Excited to craft high-quality visuals that are helpful, useful, modern and holistic

  • Has a strong portfolio demonstrating excellent design skills and strategic thinking to solve business problems

  • 5+ years' experience in SaaS Enterprise application design

  • Expert in Figma and evolving Design Systems

  • Working in agile sprint

This is an exciting opportunity for a User Experience Designer (UX Designer), to be part of a company that provides the world's most timely, accurate and up-to-date automotive information on vehicle specifications, pricing, sales and registrations.

This exciting role will identify and implement best practice in user research, design and prototyping within the software development lifecycle with a view to continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Produce wireframes and prototypes to help shape and communicate the implementation of new tools and products.

  • Collaborate with development colleagues to build and maintain a style guide, component library, pattern library and design system that will provide a consistent user experience for JATO staff and customers.

  • Engage with Product Management and Marketing to align design with an evolving product roadmap and brand guidelines.

Our Reading based client, a European leader in their field, is currently looking for a UI/UX Designer to join them on a permanent basis as part of a major transformation journey they are embarking on. This role will form part of their Digital Product team, a group dedicated innovators and digital engineers who will support this transformation and you will work alongside the User Experience Team Manager, Product Owners and software development teams to develop UI designs for multi-platform products.

Responsibilities​

  • Collaborate with Business Representatives, Product Management and Engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the

product direction, visuals, and experience

  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineers

  • Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design challenges

  • Present and explain designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders

  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards

  • Deep dive into existing user interactions and evaluate feedback

  • Own and maintain digital design guidelines, design system and user guides

Experience required:

  • Demonstrable experience in UI design across a variety of digital platforms, industries and target customer groups and business models

(e.g. B2C, B2B, B2B2C)

  • Experience in creating wireframes, and interactive prototypes supported by a strong digital design portfolio

  • Proficiency in Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, FIgma and/or other visual design and wireframing tools

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
