Technical Project Manager – Data Warehouse Build

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a finance data warehouse for one of our high-profile end clients in the FMCG/Retail sector. This role is central to a large-scale finance transformation initiative and requires a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in data warehouse builds and experience in FMCG, retail, or similar fast-paced industries.

The Role

As Technical Project Manager, you will:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a finance data warehouse, ensuring it meets business requirements and aligns with best practices.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with finance, IT, and key stakeholders.
• Manage technical teams and external vendors to design, build, and deploy the data warehouse solution.
• Establish robust project plans, budgets, and timelines, and track progress against them.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolving technical and delivery challenges to ensure project success.
• Ensure the data warehouse integrates seamlessly with other finance systems, supporting key processes such as reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Champion data governance, quality, and security standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, delivering complex data warehouse solutions.
• Strong technical knowledge of data architecture, ETL processes, and modern data warehousing technologies.
• Familiarity with finance data requirements and processes, particularly within FMCG, retail, or similar industries.
• A track record of working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, including technical and business stakeholders.
• 3 days per week required onsite
