Salesforce Platform Lead (Contract) | Outside IR35

Location: London (3-4 days per week onsite, 1-2 days remote)

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Platform Lead to join a growing technology function during a critical period of platform transformation and team growth.

This role is ideal for a senior Salesforce developer who enjoys combining hands-on technical delivery with leadership, mentoring, and platform ownership. You’ll play a key role in driving platform stability, supporting delivery teams, and helping shape the future Salesforce roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Salesforce platform from a technical perspective

• Provide mentorship and guidance to developers and administrators

• Drive best practice across development, architecture, and delivery

• Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality technical standards

• Collaborate with product, business, and technology stakeholders

• Support platform scalability, performance, and ongoing enhancements

• Oversee integrations and API-driven solutions

• Work closely with internal teams and external delivery partners

Requirements

• Extensive Salesforce development experience

• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud

• Experience with Salesforce CPQ

• Proven leadership or team mentoring experience

• Strong knowledge of integrations, APIs, Flows, and platform automation

• Excellent stakeholder communication skills

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
