Salesforce Platform Lead (Contract) | Outside IR35
Location: London (3-4 days per week onsite, 1-2 days remote)
Contract Length: Initial 6 months with strong extension potential

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Platform Lead to join a growing technology function during a critical period of platform transformation and team growth.
This role is ideal for a senior Salesforce developer who enjoys combining hands-on technical delivery with leadership, mentoring, and platform ownership. You’ll play a key role in driving platform stability, supporting delivery teams, and helping shape the future Salesforce roadmap.
Responsibilities

Lead the Salesforce platform from a technical perspective

Provide mentorship and guidance to developers and administrators

Drive best practice across development, architecture, and delivery

Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality technical standards

Collaborate with product, business, and technology stakeholders

Support platform scalability, performance, and ongoing enhancements

Oversee integrations and API-driven solutions

Work closely with internal teams and external delivery partners
Requirements

Extensive Salesforce development experience

Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture

Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud

Experience with Salesforce CPQ

Proven leadership or team mentoring experience

Strong knowledge of integrations, APIs, Flows, and platform automation

Excellent stakeholder communication skills

Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
