Vulnerability Management Specialist

A global Financial Services organisation is seeking a Contract Vulnerability Management Specialist to strengthen and mature enterprise-wide VM practices across a complex multi-OS, multi-tenant environment. This role focuses on the full vulnerability management lifecycle, driving risk reduction, remediation governance, and operational improvements across existing security tooling including Defender, Qualys etc.

• Day Rate: £550 – £600pd
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Travel: 1-2 days a week in Central London
• Duration: 6 Months initially

This VM Specialist will have the following previous experience:

• Lead and enhance enterprise Vulnerability Management processes across Defender environments.
• Own the end-to-end VM lifecycle including triage, prioritisation, remediation oversight, and reporting.
• Analyse vulnerability data and translate technical findings into business risk and actionable remediation plans.
• Coordinate remediation activities across internal technology teams and third-party providers/MSPs.
• Improve governance, operational processes, and consistency of VM controls across the organisation.
• Strong experience within enterprise VM functions, Microsoft Defender, and risk-based vulnerability management in complex environments.
