Accessibility Consultant

Senior Accessibility Consultant – £63,000 – Permanent – Alderley Edge (Hybrid)

La Fosse are seeking experienced Accessibility Tester with strong web accessibility expertise and exposure to mobile accessibility.

This role is focused on end‑to‑end accessibility testing and remediation, working closely with developers to identify issues, explain root causes, and guide effective fixes in line with WCAG standards (internal criteria aligned to WCAG).

Key responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive accessibility testing across web and mobile platforms
• Ensuring full adherence to WCAG accessibility criteria
• Performing keyboard-only testing (no mouse dependency)
• Carrying out colour contrast analysis and visual accessibility checks
• Testing with screen readers and assistive technologies
• Identifying accessibility issues and remediating by clearly instructing developers on causes and fixes
• Supporting inclusive design and accessible user experiences across systems

Key requirements:

• Proven experience in web accessibility testing
• Mobile accessibility experience (Android / iOS) is a bonus
• Strong understanding of WCAG guidelines and testing criteria
• Hands-on experience with keyboard navigation testing
• Confident working with developers to explain accessibility issues clearly and pragmatically
• PDF accessibility experience is a nice to have
