The Opportunity
We are working with a major UK government organisation undergoing a significant transformation across its data, digital, and AI capabilities.
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact programme at the intersection of business analysis, product management, and emerging AI technologies, supporting critical national services and operational teams.
You will play a key role in shaping and delivering user-focused, data-driven products, working across complex stakeholder environments and driving real-world outcomes from advanced analytics and AI solutions.
The Role
This is a hybrid Business Analyst / Product role, ideal for someone who is comfortable operating across both disciplines.
You will:
- Lead discovery work across operational and policy environments to identify high-value opportunities
- Translate complex business needs into clear product requirements, epics, and user stories
- Own and manage product backlogs, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
- Act as the bridge between technical teams, operational users, and senior stakeholders
- Support delivery of AI / Machine Learning / Data products, including GenAI and LLM-based solutions
- Drive Agile delivery practices (Scrum / SAFe), facilitating ceremonies and ensuring continuous improvement
- Contribute to roadmaps, benefits realisation, and long-term product strategy
- Work closely with data and engineering teams across cloud-based environments (AWS / Azure)
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with candidates who bring a blend of analysis, product thinking, and delivery capability.
Key experience includes:
- Strong Business Analysis background within complex, large-scale environments
- Experience operating as a Product Owner / Product Manager or in a hybrid role
- Proven track record delivering digital or data transformation programmes
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum / SAFe)
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across government or regulated sectors
- Strong skills in:
- Requirements gathering & documentation
- Backlog management (JIRA / Confluence)
- Process mapping (As-Is / To-Be)
- Data analysis (SQL desirable)
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to AI / Machine Learning / Generative AI use cases
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) or automation tools
- Background in law enforcement, central government, or highly regulated environments
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) and microservices architectures
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and analytical workflows
