Interim Business Analyst – Defence (Outside IR35)

We are working with a leading infrastructure organisation delivering critical services within a secure defence environment. They are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major programme spanning multiple UK sites.

This role will play a key part in both IT bidding activity and mobilisation, focusing on shaping end-to-end processes and ensuring robust business requirements are defined to support effective technical solutions.

Contract Details:

• Initial 3–4 days per week, ramping up to 5 days as the programme progresses
• 3–6 month contract
• Outside IR35
• 1 day per week onsite in Birmingham (with occasional travel to client sites)

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements
• Conduct stakeholder interviews across operational and IT teams
• Map current and future-state business processes
• Facilitate workshops to drive clarity and alignment
• Support business case development
• Assist with solution validation and testing

Essential Experience:

• Proven Business Analysis experience within defence environments
• Experience supporting bids, tenders, or mobilisation programmes
• Strong process mapping and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to operate effectively in complex, evolving environments

Security Requirements:

Must hold current SC Clearance or have previously held SC Clearance and be eligible to obtain it again
