Senior Technical Business Analyst – AI / Agentic AI
London (Hybrid – predominantly remote with occasional on-site)

We are supporting a central Government organisation delivering cutting-edge AI and Agentic AI transformation programmes across complex, enterprise-scale environments.

The Role
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of policy, business operations, data, and emerging AI technologies — translating complex organisational needs into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
You will work across multidisciplinary teams including data scientists, AI engineers, architects, service designers, and senior stakeholders to support the design and delivery of:

AI-enabled decision-support tools

Agentic AI workflows (autonomous or semi-autonomous task agents)

Machine learning-driven automation

Large Language Model (LLM) use cases

Intelligent case management and process optimisation
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead discovery and define AI use cases aligned to strategic objectives
-
Translate business problems into AI-ready requirements
-
Define functional and non-functional requirements for AI/ML systems
-
Map data flows, integration points, and system dependencies
-
Facilitate workshops between technical AI teams and policy/business stakeholders
-
Support governance, risk, ethics, and assurance frameworks for AI
-
Contribute to pilot / proof-of-concept design and scaling strategies
-
Support UAT and validation of AI model outputs
Essential Experience
-
5+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst
-
Experience delivering projects within Government or highly regulated environments
-
Strong Agile delivery background
-
Experience working on AI, machine learning, automation, or data science programmes
-
Exposure to:
-
LLMs (e.g., GPT-style systems)
-
AI-driven workflow automation
-
Intelligent agents / Agentic AI concepts
-

Understanding of APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)

Experience documenting:

AI use cases

Data requirements

Model inputs/outputs

Ethical and compliance considerations

Highly Desirable

Experience with Responsible AI frameworks

Exposure to MLOps or model lifecycle governance

Knowledge of prompt engineering or AI interaction design

Experience delivering AI proof-of-value pilots in Government

Previous clearance (SC) beneficial but not mandatory
