Senior Business Analyst – Defence (SC Cleared)
Location: UK / Hybrid (occasional travel to Defence and partner sites)
Rate: £500- £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

We are supporting a major Defence organisation on the search for a Senior Business Analyst to support large-scale digital transformation and operational improvement programmes across Defence logistics and supply chain services.

This role sits at the intersection of Defence operations, supply chain delivery and enterprise technology, helping translate complex operational processes into structured IT requirements across multiple systems and delivery partners.

You will work closely with operational stakeholders, architects and technology teams to ensure that logistics and support services are clearly understood and translated into scalable digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of Defence logistics and supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing and distribution.

• Develop As-Is and To-Be process models across operational and technology environments.

• Translate operational requirements into clear functional and non-functional IT requirements.

• Define integration and data requirements across multiple enterprise platforms.

• Facilitate workshops with Defence stakeholders, delivery teams and suppliers.

• Work closely with solution and enterprise architects to align requirements with system design.

• Support solution delivery through UAT, operational readiness and transition into service.

• Ensure requirements meet Defence governance, security and compliance standards.

Experience Required

• Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst on complex transformation programmes.

• Experience working within Defence, government or regulated environments.

• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, asset management or operational support services.

• Experience defining requirements across ERP, logistics platforms, inventory systems or enterprise data platforms.

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across operational, technical and leadership teams.

• Experience working across multi-supplier and multi-system programmes.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working on Defence logistics or operational support programmes.

• Experience supporting ERP, logistics or inventory platforms.

• Business Analysis certifications (BCS, IIBA or similar).

• Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
