Infrastructure Engineer
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)
Salary: £50,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We’re working with a well-established, fast-growing financial services organisation undergoing continued investment in its technology estate. As part of this, they’re looking to appoint an Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance a modern, evolving hybrid environment.

The Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations while contributing to ongoing transformation and improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting BAU infrastructure operations, ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and high-performing
- Delivering infrastructure improvement and modernisation projects
- Managing on-prem server environments, including patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Administering VMware environments (provisioning, optimisation, troubleshooting)
- Managing and maintaining backup and recovery solutions
- Supporting cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS
- Identifying opportunities to automate and streamline operational processes
About You
- Well-rounded infrastructure experience across on-prem and cloud environments
- Strong experience with VMware, server environments, storage and backup solutions
- Exposure to Azure and/or AWS
- Comfortable troubleshooting and supporting BAU operations in a live environment
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Interest in automation, scripting, and improving operational efficiency
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
