We are supporting a high-impact programme within a secure government environment focused on building and scaling AI and data-driven capability.

As part of a significant growth phase, we are looking for a Technical Lead / Solutions Architect to take a leading role in shaping, designing and delivering modern AI-enabled platforms and services.

This is a critical position within a rapidly expanding function, where you will help define the technical direction of a programme spanning LLM-driven applications, agent-based solutions, and enterprise-scale data platforms.

The Role

You will operate at the centre of delivery, providing technical leadership across multiple workstreams, working closely with engineering, DevOps and AI teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and production-ready.

This role will suit someone who is comfortable operating across both strategy and hands-on delivery, helping to translate emerging AI capability into real-world, operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end technical design and architecture of AI and data-driven solutions
• Define and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures (primarily AWS)
• Provide technical oversight across engineering, DevOps and AI teams
• Ensure solutions meet standards for performance, reliability, security and interoperability
• Support the development of LLM and agent-based applications into production environments
• Act as a key interface between technical teams and senior stakeholders
• Guide best practice across architecture, engineering and delivery

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience operating as a Technical Lead, Solutions Architect or Lead Engineer within complex, secure or large-scale environments.

Key experience may include:

AWS, Cloud Architecture, Solutions Architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Distributed Systems, Microservices, Platform Engineering

Essential Experience

• Proven experience delivering AI, data or platform-led solutions
• Experience working in complex or secure environments (government / defence / similar)
• Ability to lead technical teams and define architectural direction
• Strong understanding of cloud-native and modern engineering practices

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to AI / Machine Learning / LLM-based solutions
• Experience with modern data platforms (e.g. data lakes, Fabric, large-scale data processing)
• Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Copilot, Azure)

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
