Application Support Lead – Financial Services | Hybrid (West Midlands) | £50,000 + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Senior Application Engineer/Application Support Lead looking to step into a role with real impact, ownership, and growth?
Our client, an award‑winning UK financial services organisation, is expanding and looking for a talented Savings Solutions Support Lead to join their friendly, collaborative team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping application stability, performance, and service excellence within a growing digital function.
The Opportunity
As the App Support Lead, you will:
- Oversee the day‑to‑day stability, performance, and security of key Savings applications.
- Act as the primary escalation point for incidents and problems, restoring service quickly and leading thorough root‑cause analysis.
- Work closely with Delivery, Product, Technical Leads, and third‑party partners in a true “one‑team” model.
- Mature support processes, documentation, monitoring and alerting to improve operational resilience.
- Use data, service metrics, and trends to identify improvements and prevent repeat issues.
- Balance customer impact, risk, and value when prioritising work and making decisions.
About You
You will bring:
- Strong technical and leadership experience supporting and managing IT applications – ideally within financial services or mobile environments.
- Experience improving support processes, monitoring, communications, and service reliability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across IT, business, and supplier teams.
- A proactive mindset and structured problem‑solving approach, using data to drive sustainable improvements.
- A people‑focused attitude that supports team development and fosters a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Experience with low‑code platforms is desirable but not essential.
Working Model
- Hybrid working – ideally West Midlands based, w(flexible based on team needs).
- Remote candidates may also be considered.
