Business Analyst – 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Hybrid (occasional travel to Warrington office)
Salary: Up to £60,000
Contract: Full time, 12-month fixed-term
Renowned Consultancy are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join one of their Data Programmes with a Public Sector client for a 1 year fixed term contract. In this role you’ll help shape and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery across a range of complex projects.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into actionable requirements, and oversee implementation through to successful delivery. Projects may include facilities management systems, API integrations, data and reporting platforms, and archiving solutions.
THE ROLE
The Business Analyst will be responsible for:

Elicit, validate, prioritise, and document business requirements, translating them into functional, non-functional, and technical specifications.

Work collaboratively with internal development and architecture teams to deliver new technology and systems.

Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to capture and align business objectives.

Develop detailed user stories, wireframes, and acceptance criteria to guide development and testing.

Produce clear documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and traceability matrices.

Support process re-engineering activities, identifying improvements and innovative delivery solutions.

Ensure systems and data platforms are optimised to meet business needs and operational goals.
YOU
The ideal Business Analyst will have experience of:
-
A recognised qualification in Business Analysis (e.g. BCS) and strong experience in requirements engineering and process modelling.

Proven ability to translate API and data specifications into business requirements.

Strong background in business process design and technical documentation.
-
Proficiency in Jira, Visio, Excel, and the Microsoft Office suite.

Experience working on API systems, databases, and reporting solutions.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — confident dealing with senior and sometimes challenging stakeholders.

A proactive, resilient personality suited to a fast-paced environment.
