Wintel Support Engineer - BAU - (Contract - 6 months) - £500 to £600 Inside IR35

La Fosse are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BAU Wintel Support Engineer to join an Insurance team on a contract basis for 6 months. As a Wintel Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing operational support and maintenance for our Windows Server 2019 environment running on VMware. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the stability and availability of the Wintel infrastructure, addressing incidents and service requests promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for the Windows Server 2019 environment, ensuring system availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Windows Server infrastructure, adhering to defined SLAs and minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and enhancements to the Wintel environment.
  • Conduct regular health checks and performance monitoring, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist with the administration of VMware virtualization platform, including configuration and resource management.
  • Leverage Azure services and technologies to enhance the Wintel infrastructure and support business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in supporting Windows Server 2019 and VMware virtualization.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud services and solutions, with the ability to leverage them effectively.
  • Previous experience working in the insurance industry or a similar business domain.
  • Proficient in incident and problem management processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
