Job Title: Project Manager

Day Rate: £450 - £500 Outside IR35 / 5-6 months Contract

Location: London/Hybrid - twice a week

Project Manager is required to join a licencing Industry, based in London with Hybrid working. You will be required to deliver digital projects and products to time, cost and scope. The product in question is a joint venture between the industry and a development partner and is therefore commercially significant. The PM will work with a small cross functional team including the POs, Scrum Master, Customer Support team and the business development teams based in the UK and Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with business SMEs and the project team to ensure the most effective and high-quality delivery to the agreed timeframes
  • Ensure that the appropriate metrics and artefacts are produced and communicated to enable the team and product owner to make informed decisions
  • Lead the project team to remove obstacles that slow or prevent delivery of goals
  • Lead project update meetings & workshops with the cross functional team
  • Ensure all project life-cycle documentation, including progress reports, risk registers and lessons learnt reports are completed
  • Enforcement of project controls, including status reporting, signoffs and change control
  • Produce accurate progress and tracking reports for SLT consumption

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrated project management experience AGILE methodologies
  • Experience in delivering software development projects through the entire development life cycle
  • Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software & business solutions, systems, or products
  • Proven track record of issue and risk management and the ability to identify resolutions rapidly and effectively
  • Ability to manage projects with aggressive timescales
  • Experience of running projects with remote team members
  • Ability in deciding where 'quick wins' are suitable
  • Confident and effective client and internal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Proven track record of effective time management
  • Excellent written communication, attention to detail and diplomacy
  • Demonstrate problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Demonstrate excellent vendor management and negotiation skills

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Hold a recognised Project Management qualification (Agile Practitioner, SCRUM Master and/or MSP)
  • At least 3 years project management experience delivering digital projects/ products
  • Experience of different methodologies, tools, and techniques (Waterfall, Agile, Lean Sigma and DSDM would also be desirable)
  • Understanding of software development methods and practices
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence and Smartsheet is required
