La Fosse is looking for a experienced Controls & Systems Development Engineer at Senior or Principal level to join their EE Controls Team to develop their new range of EV Vehicles working out of their site in Warwickshire. This company can also provide sponsorship.

You will be working on their ADAS features, HVAC, Body systems, electrical distribution systems, power systems, system integration, high voltage electric vehicle systems, software, and controls.

This wide role involves working with different teams and projects and hence provides a unique opportunity to keep developing skills. The Controls Development System Engineer must have experience with Systems Engineering processes and methods, development, prototyping and testing of control strategies.

Main Activities & Tasks

  • Primarily but not restricted to the integration, development and testing of Electrical and Electronic systems in the domains of ADAS/AD, HVAC and Body systems amongst others
  • Conceptualisation, design, and proof of concept of new control strategies for a variety of systems
  • Support with the delivery of System Engineering artifacts through the complete V-cycle. Model based design and model-based systems engineering.
  • Develop and test hardware and software solutions on bench (e.g MIL/SIL/HIL) and vehicle using commercial solutions such as simulation and validation tools (e.g. Simulink/IPG/dSPACE/NI) for a wide range of Electrical and Electronic systems
  • Support the delivery of Engineering sign off through DVP and report DV progress from conception to test execution
  • Algorithm development and testing using at least one of C/C++/ Python/Matlab/Simulink.
  • Support all projects’ technical activities to meet customer deadlines and Milestones.
  • Support with supplier evaluation


Other Features of Role

  • Track and evaluate the deliverables from suppliers.
  • Work with start-up and consulting companies in different domains (including AI and ML) to introduce new technologies.
  • Support with the creation of quality and functional safety artifacts (e.g. ISO 26262 and SOTIF)
  • Support with the creation of unit, subsystem, and system documentation
  • Support with the creation of documents such as SOW, SOR etc.
  • Vehicle benchmarking
