Machine Learning Software Engineer (12-Month Contract, Inside IR35)
Hybrid – London / Remote 
Inside IR35 – Rate circa £600-650 per day

La Fosse is partnered with a global, leading entertainment organisation seeking a Machine Learning Software Engineer to join their cutting-edge Music & Audio Machine Learning Lab. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about AI/ML in creative applications. You’ll contribute to the full lifecycle of innovative ML tools, from research and prototyping to deployment, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI/ML-driven software products for music and audio applications
• Build infrastructure to support ML pipelines and full lifecycle development
• Work with modern cloud technologies and large-scale data environments
• Collaborate closely with a dynamic team of engineers and stakeholders

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and one additional language (e.g. C++, Java, Scala)
• Experience with ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow), and scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn)
• Familiarity with audio data (or video), able to handle large binary files
• Proven experience in at least one of: ML model deployment, ML Ops, AI agents, or LLM integration
• Expertise in Linux, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable code
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable:

• Experience with LLM tools (e.g. LangChain)
• Background in ML Ops, serverless/containerised infrastructures (e.g. Kubernetes, SageMaker)
