VP Business Intelligence & Strategic Initiatives

Vice President Strategic Initiatives & BI | London | 150k+ (plus package)

A Fortune 500 global healthcare and medical supply company are searching for a Vice President, Strategic Initiatives & Business Intelligence to make a significant difference at board level across this global business. This is a brand new role.

The Role

As the Vice President, Strategic Initiatives & Business Intelligence you'll work with senior executives and data leaders across the business to identify, coordinate, evaluate and deliver enterprise strategy. You will lead a core team of data engineering, data science, and analytics resources in the delivery of enterprise strategic initiatives. As the primary focal point for leading complex global initiatives enterprise sponsored use cases, you will ensure initiatives are delivered with business value and an enterprise-first mindset.

  • Owns the delivery of enterprise strategic initiatives and solutions for the corporation
  • Fosters the community of data science resources across the enterprise
  • Prioritizes enterprise analytics use cases to create the greatest value
  • Identifies and organizes enterprise resources around critical analytics priorities and themes to create the maximum value
  • Collaborates with local Insights Delivery Teams to understand their challenges and ensure enterprise resources are leveraged to accelerate critical data and analytics initiatives
  • Leads delivery of critical business unit or functional analytics initiatives where a local Insights Delivery teams may not exist
  • Develops best practices and standard analytics solution architectures and promotes their leverage and reuse across the enterprise
  • Serves as the enterprise product owner for external data commercialization portals

Key Requirements for this Role:

  • 10+ years of experience with business background, prior consulting experience essential
  • 10+ years of experience with advanced analytics techniques
  • Experience managing multiple scrum teams
  • Experience in value realization, design thinking, ROI and program prioritization
  • Experience in portfolio management
  • Experience leading teams in an agile framework
  • Strong collaboration skills to engage effectively with the Business
  • Ability to foster a community which will attract and retain talent
  • Proven experience in influencing business leaders towards change, and business process alignment and improvement
  • Ability to create impactful presentations and deliver to executive staff
  • Ability to build and manage high-performing teams
