Role: UI/UX Designer
Start Date: ASAP
Our Reading based client, a European leader in their field, is currently looking for a UI/UX Designer to join them on a permanent basis as part of a major transformation journey they are embarking on. This role will form part of their Digital Product team, a group dedicated innovators and digital engineers who will support this transformation and you will work alongside the User Experience Team Manager, Product Owners and software development teams to develop UI designs for multi-platform products.
Typical responsibilities will include:
Collaborate with Business Representatives, Product Management and Engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the
product direction, visuals, and experience
Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineers
Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design challenges
Present and explain designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
Deep dive into existing user interactions and evaluate feedback
Own and maintain digital design guidelines, design system and user guides
Demonstrable experience in UI design across a variety of digital platforms, industries and target customer groups and business models
(e.g. B2C, B2B, B2B2C)
Experience in creating wireframes, and interactive prototypes supported by a strong digital design portfolio
Proficiency in Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, FIgma and/or other visual design and wireframing tools
Working knowledge of Content Management Systems like Contentful, Sitecore,WordPress and Drupal.
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
Up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques and technologies
Ability to present your designs and sell design solutions to various stakeholders
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Must have a strong verbal and written communication.
