Technical Security Consultant - Cyber Risk

Are you passionate about technical security and cyber risk? Well I am currently assisting a global leader with expanding their information security function. They are looking for a Technical Security Consultant to join them on their journey and provide cyber risk and technical security advice to all IT teams across the business. This is a role that will certainly never get boring, as you will be working across an array of exciting projects with the ability to put your stamp on things!

The business encourages people to think outside of the box, and whilst working collaboratively with the team and wider business, also not be afraid to challenge processes & policies. The Technical Security Consultant will have the full backing of the business to aid the continuous improvement of the Information Security programme.

Awesome things you'll be involved in include:

  • Providing cyber risk management expertise and support to significant IT projects across the business to identify and assess cyber risks and implement appropriate controls.
  • Arranging and reviewing penetration tests for significant IT projects.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the businesses Project Security Assurance process, providing support and advice to project teams on the process.
  • Contribute to the businesses cyber security solution library by creating and maintaining documentation on approved security tools, products and architectural patterns to improve re-use across the business.
  • Review and approve security risks and controls for IT projects at relevant project stage-gates to ensure that projects proceed into production with an acceptable residual risk and where risks exist to have a documented management plan.

If this is of interest to you or someone in your network, please apply or drop me a note at ashlee.harris@lafosse.com for a confidential chat.
