Technical Lead – Salary up to £110,000 + Benefits – Green Tech Client – Hybrid in London office 2x a week

Our client, a tech for good organization, is looking for a lead software developer, to join them in their mission to create a greener environment for all. Striving to reach Net 0, they are creating a future-facing product that is set to take the energy market by storm.

With additional customers recently secured, our client is searching for a lead full-stack developer, with strong C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL experience, to accompany them in taking their energy trading product to market for their new clients. Within this role, you’ll be responsible for taking ownership of architectural decisions, remaining 100% hands-on in development, driving a team of 4 developers for success, and working closely with the CTO to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code in a fast-moving, start-up environment
  • Develop and support the development of their future-facing product, working across new functionalities and enhancements
  • Lead a hard-working team, whilst striving to deliver a large volume of high-quality code
  • Take responsibility for architectural decisions, making sure they align with best practices within the company
  • Opportunity to work closely with the Head of Engineering to ensure pipelines and timescales are aligned to priority releases
  • Lead a team of 4 developers (2 seniors and 2 mid-levels) and coach them into reaching their full potential

About you:

  • 8+ years experience with C#, .NET in a fast-moving environment (e.g. trading, gaming, start-up etc.) – with recent experience in the latest versions of .NET
  • 3+ years experience driving software development best practices within a small team
  • Background in full-stack development (C#, .Net and Angular)
  • Experience leading on architectural and design decisions, with the ability to take full ownership of your team’s contributions to the wider organization
  • Strong experience managing a small team, whilst remaining 100% hands-on
  • Solution-oriented, with a knack for solving problems

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in the development of complex products

The client is offering a salary dependent on experience + benefits options and is unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Operating a hybrid working model, it will be 2 days a week in their London office so you must be able to commute.
