Position: Technical Delivery Manager
Contract Type: 3-Month Contract
Location: Remote Working

Overview:

We are seeking a people-focused and experienced Technical Delivery Manager to join our team on a 3-month contract basis. This remote role is pivotal in managing the integration of data across multiple systems and interfaces within our CDC (Clinical Data Capture) programme. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating efforts among Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and ensuring the smooth flow of data and information.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Organize and lead virtual meetings with SMEs from different systems/interfaces to agree on testing protocols, schedules, and expectations.
    • Navigate the challenges of availability and time constraints among busy stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and consensus.
  2. Facilitation and Mediation:

    • Facilitate discussions when tests do not go as planned, ensuring consensus on actions and next steps.
    • Address issues that may span across multiple systems or extend beyond the scope of integration, including operational or clinical governance requirements.
  3. Issue Tracking and Resolution:

    • Monitor and track progress on resolving identified issues to ensure tests (or specific aspects of the tests) can be repeated to verify resolutions.
    • Continuously manage the cycle of testing, issue identification, resolution, and retesting to ensure successful integration.
  4. Reporting and Communication:

    • Provide regular updates and detailed reports on project progress to stakeholders.
    • Maintain clear and consistent communication channels among all parties involved.
  5. Project Management:

    • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  6. Quality Assurance:

    • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.
    • Conduct reviews and audits of project activities to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Delivery Manager or in a similar role, ideally within the NHS sector.
  • Strong understanding of CDC integration programmes and related technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in coordinating and managing complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent facilitation and mediation skills, with the ability to achieve consensus among strongly-minded SMEs.
  • Strong coordination, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote working environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working with NHS Trusts.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Technical background with experience in software development or IT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of NHS data standards and regulatory requirements.
