Technical Business Analyst

Technical Business Analyst required to work with one or more Product Managers as part of the Quote to Cash program, a major cross-company, multi-year initiative for our client. The role will predominately focus on defining to be processes and requirements, documenting user stories and acceptance criteria in support of the client's product management team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, define, and document complex requirements and business processes.
  • Create functional user documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of new tools, processes, and solutions to meet desired product needs.
  • Maintain stakeholder expectations and raise appropriate issues to project managers and product managers as necessary.
  • Develop "trusted advisor" relationship with senior stakeholders through effective communication and efficient, quality execution on projects.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and document to be processes.

Technical Skills

  • A strong knowledge of conceptual business process modelling, data flows, user story creation and acceptance criteria creation.
  • Proven track record of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications, gained on projects of considerable scale and/or complexity.
  • Broad understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Strong facilitation skills; ability to facilitate workshops with all staff levels.
  • Strong communication skills that allow for effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Written communication skills including process documentation. IT research, software analysis, and design skills.
  • Ability to guide and mentor less-experienced team members.
  • Proficient in documenting As-Is and To-Be processes.
  • Previous experience of working in an agile environment and using recognized development methodology; e.g., Agile, SCRUM, and KANBAN.
