SOX Consultant (Inside IR35 & Hybrid)

Global Analytics Company who requires a Contract SOX Consultant to join their Regulatory Programme who can conduct regular audits of IT systems, processes, and controls to identify any areas of non-compliance and potential risks.

Day Rate: £500pd-£600pd
IR35 Status: Inside
Duration: 6 Months
Other: Hybrid (Travel to London Office)

The successful SOX Consultant will have the following previous experience:

• Coordinating, planning and carrying out audits of STM Sarbanes Oxley controls i.e. perform process walkthroughs, test design and operating effectiveness of IT General Controls (ITGCs)
• Assist the business with the testing of the Application Controls (ITACs)
• Conduct regular audits of IT systems, processes, and controls to identify any areas of non-compliance and potential risks.
• Perform risk assessments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate any identified deficiencies and implement effective control measures;
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of IT controls and processes to senior management and auditors;
• Maintain documentation and evidence of IT controls and processes to support audit requirements;
• Identify opportunities to simplify and standardise existing Sarbanes Oxley controls.
• Participate in the design and implementation of SOX Controls for new ERP Solutions; maintenance of effective control activities (Oracle Fusion in 2024/5)
• Review SOC1/2 reports from 3rd party vendors offering IT solutions which are in SOX scope.
• Coordinate with both the External and Internal Auditors for the SOX audits
• Assist in the development and delivery of IT compliance training programs for employees, to promote awareness and adherence to SOX requirements;
• Provide guidance and support to IT teams on compliance-related matters and best practices
