Software Engineer (Remote)

A Software Engineer (Remote) with Kotlin, Java or Scala development experience is sought to join a global strategic market insights client who are - at present - one of the fastest growing organisations on the planet; as such, onboarding the right engineering talent is absolutely paramount to continue to facilitate this period of disruptive growth.

Leveraging an ever evolving and bleeding edge technical stack, you will help to build internal and client facing ecosystems/products/services that will allow prospective organisations to identify and connect with the leading authorities and relevant experts across a host of industries (Fintech/Energy/Investment/Private equity to name a few) in real time. This can be anything from navigating ventures into unknown markets/territories to dealing with seismic global/market changes or shocks; if you are keen to work on software that affects real global change - then this is very much the place to be.

You will have strong backend development experience - the client are developing in Kotlin but should this not be in your repertoire, absolutely no problem; the client are looking for adaptable engineers who have the aptitude to upskill and leverage new technologies, so strong experience in other languages will absolutely be considered; the right people are happy to work across multiple languages - it's really more about your skill as an engineer as opposed to deep knowledge or a particular language/framework. TDD and paired programming approaches are also a great sign as well as experience working with cloud services and CICD based tooling.

Whilst the client do have a London office - this role is fully remote for candidates working anywhere in the UK. You can count on working in a multi-national and diversified team including a healthy mix of junior up and coming talent to senior engineering leaders from the likes of Google and Amazon.
