A Software Engineer in Test in currently sought by a market leading technology company who are expanding their engineering team and require a test and QA automation specialist to help them maximise and drive quality engineering throughout their development life cycle.

The client are is the leading global provider of software-enabled platforms for the flexible workspace and commercial real estate industry across several continents.

Role responsibilities

  • Design testing frameworks and develop automation scripts across front-end and back-end with Java & JavaScript based tools (e.g Postman, TestCafe, Selenium, Rest Assured etc.)

  • Developing and executing test strategies for all levels of testing (System, Integration and Regression)

  • Lead and drive quality and testing throughout SDLC for assigned delivery team.

  • Define, document and maintain the overall product QA approach

  • Define and own the team's performance and security testing strategy

  • Work closely with various team members like Engineers, Product Owners, BA's taking the lead on the development of test scenarios and documentation for new and enhanced functionality

Key requirements:

  • Senior QA with 5+ years of test automation experience across functional and non-functional and ability to develop frameworks from scratch (Java based tooling)

  • Solid experience within full stack testing - front end, backend, API testing and RDS databases including SQL and NoSQL environments is required

  • Highly effective programming in Java is essential (and ideally scripting experience with JavaScript)

  • Experience with cloud services and CI/CD tools including Gitlab & Jenkins (or similar) - desirable

  • High level understanding of web services such as SOAP or REST

The role requires weekly travel to their Central London office two days per week (near to Liverpool street station).
