SOC Lead
A Public Sector client is going through a Cyber transformation and establishing a new Security function from the ground up. As the SOC Lead, you will play a critical role in building and guiding the SOC.
Day Rate: £650-£700pd
IR35 Status: Inside
Duration: 12 Months initially
Travel: Remote
This SOC Lead will have the following previous experience:
- SIEM Service Development: Design and implement a bespoke SIEM service tailored to the client’s specific needs. You will be the primary point of contact for the SOC, liaising directly with the client while also providing operational support to the SOC team.
- SOC Leadership: Act as the front-facing representative of the SOC, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration with clients and internal teams. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the effective operation of the SOC.
- Sentinel Expertise: Leverage Microsoft Sentinel and other security tools, using your deep operational knowledge to oversee their deployment and use. Act as the central point of contact for all Sentinel-related activities, ensuring all team members are aligned and working efficiently.
- Consultative Approach: Employ a consultative mindset to develop and refine the security structure. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective security strategies.
- Commercial Awareness: Understand and consider the commercial implications of security decisions. Balance security needs with business objectives to create a sustainable and scalable security infrastructure.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, early-stage environment with a long-term project horizon.
