ServiceNow Consultant - East Midlands - Initial 6-month contract

Our East Midlands-based client is looking for a ServiceNow Consultant to join them with immediate effect for an initial 6-month contract. The ServiceNow Consultant will be responsible for ongoing development, technical support and for improving the adoption and maturity of their ServiceNow implementation.

Key Duties:

  • Resolution and escalation of ServiceNow related issues and risks
  • Responsible for the relationship management of our ServiceNow partners
  • Fulfilment of ServiceNow related requests including user, group, company administration and SLA configuration.
  • Leading on the development of enhancements across the platform with specific emphasis on solution design, usability and ongoing support, driving continuous improvement and value from the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proactive monitoring, maintenance and support of system performance, data, capacity and capability and recommending improvement opportunities.
  • Manage upgrades, patches and system clones to the platform and all related maintenance activity to keep instances in alignment, including running clean up scripts and data maintenance.
  • Managing system access, data security and proactively manage our licence utilisation across a complex, multi-supplier environment.
  • Creation and support of performance metrics and reporting as required from the platform user base.
  • Creation of specialist knowledge and governance documentation to support the client's best practices and coding standards for ServiceNow.
  • To provide out of hours on call duties as part of a rota to support the platform 24 x 7 to ensure that critical IT incidents can be managed effectively across a multi-supplier model.
  • Control system access, data security and proactively manage our licence utilisation across a complex, multi-supplier environment to ensure we remain compliant.
  • Liaise with numerous stakeholders on a daily basis

Skills Required:

  • ITIL Foundation Certificate
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
  • Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of the ServiceNow platform including: Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script includes, workflows, Update sets and Contextual security.
  • Functional knowledge and experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, SLM, Service Catalog, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Asset, Knowledge
  • Management).
  • Knowledge of web based languages (JavaScript, HTML and Glide).
  • Experience of SDLC / Scrum methodologies and IT Project Management principles and techniques.
  • Proven ability to be responsible for the daily administration, maintenance and Change Management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on business matters.
