Service Manager

Mt client is a leading Financial Services organisation based in the City and are actively seeking a Service Manager to join their team on an initial 6 month ocntract basis.

Key Skills

  • Demonstrable and compelling experience operating in IT Service Management (ITSM) and/or SIAM roles.
  • Previous service (and budget) ownership experience essential.
  • ITSM skills and ITIL V3 certification (minimum Practitioner, ideally Expert level).
  • Proficiency and certification in IT governance and reference models (e.g. COBIT Foundation/ IT4IT)
  • Practical experience and certification in Agile (e.g. Scaled Agile Framework, Agile Service Manager)
  • Experience at working within a multiple supply chain environment
  • Experience of working with Cloud Technologies
  • (Optional) Cloud Service Management knowledge and certification (e.g. Cloud Credential Council)

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, lead and govern the organisations services delivered to Business Unit (BU) customers and End Users.
  • Work with the Supplier Performance Managers to assure service delivery from service providers.
  • Contribute to the development of and adherence to IT (service) strategies and Service Integration & Management policies
  • Work with the Service Transition Manager and Service Catalogue Manager roles to define, introduce, change or retire services (as appropriate).
  • Direct and control the design, development, evolution and continual improvement of the organisations services, ensuring end-to-end service level suitability throughout the delivery supply chain.
  • Monitor, drive and optimise business adoption and consumption of the services, collaborating with the Business Engagement Managers to align capacity with demand.
  • Act as focal point for the organisations services to the BUs and manage satisfaction levels, service reviews and continual service improvement with customer representatives.
