Position - Senior Strategy & Innovation Manager

Location - London

Salary - £100,000 - £120,000 Per Annum + Benefits

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Leading the definition and implement of Digital Lead

  • Work directly with the Development Lead to execute on the innovation strategy

  • Take ownership of third party partnerships and drive forward new greenfield projects to implementation

  • Identify, test and lead new technologies, business models and 'Horizon three' opportunities

  • Co-lead teams building new products and services; define commercial value proposition and MVP

  • Work with stakeholders across the business and potential end-customers to develop

Innovation Portfolio

  • Manage the Strategy Associate, overseeing the 'innovation portfolio', i.e. the innovation product roadmap

    • Be first point of contact for startups and tech-giant partners

  • Identify key startups in relation to wider role (Partner or Insurance capacity), including required Investment/Innovation Due Diligence


  • Design and lead internal innovation culture agendas (From Hackathons to intrapreneur/EIR programmes and lunch 'n learns)

  • Manage internal innovation team resourcing (Secondees/Intrapreneurs/Entrepreneurs in Residence)

  • Attend international conferences and local events, representing the firm and our agenda

Create an innovation ecosystem (Academia, gov, trade bodies, market players)

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Experience working in an innovation-facing role, either within a corporate or a leading technology-led business (E.g. Startup or Scale-up)

  • Has experience in working with or in a startup (Preference of FinTech or InsurTech) environment

  • Knowledge of financial services industry

  • Experienced at working in an agile environment (preferable)

  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written);

  • Pro-active, self-motivated and able to use own initiative.

  • University degree, preferably in business, or with an economic focus

This role is based in London and requires someone to be able to work on site 1 or 2 times per week and comes with a generous salary between £100,000 to £120,000 + Additional Benefits.
