Your role as Senior Software Asset Analyst will be to monitor and report against the use of software assets and services to optimise software use while complying within the terms of license agreements.

Working alongside technology managers you will need to raise awareness of SAM processes and standards across the technology department and wider organisation as appropriate through communication with and education of stakeholders.

Location: London (Hybrid Working)

Salary: up to £49k + enhanced holiday + benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and generating SAM reports and their review, to communicate and monitor compliance, liability and budgetary data.
  • Analysing exception data to identify potential breaches of Standards and their causes; investigating and reporting on licence compliance issues or shelfware and remediation options.
  • Monitoring changes to licence terms and conditions, alerting stakeholders to licensing changes that are relevant to them and arranging licensing briefings as appropriate
  • Maintaining regular contact with software suppliers to maintain current knowledge of software changes, and planning for changes in response to dynamic business needs.

Ideally you'll have:

  • Certification by a recognized national or international IT or IT asset management professional association, or experience in SAM.
  • Knowledge of various types of vendor software contract and license agreement in a global environment.
  • Experience with software inventory and reporting tools, such as SNOW or similar.
  • Understanding of IT software asset life cycle stages and activities
  • Understanding of asset management systems, such as SCCM and JAMF or similar.
