Senior Service Desk Engineer

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, this role is ideal for a 2nd / 3rd line engineer who is looking to take the next step, and have oversight across the whole IT estate and be very hands on with upcoming projects.

Location: Holburn

Remuneration: up to £40,000 + benefits.

Your role as Senior Service Desk Engineer

  • Managing incidents and requests through the service management tool - categorisation, prioritisation, triage and resolution
  • Provide support for a wide range and constantly evolving set of applications, software and hardware
  • Maintaining governance standards across all IT Service Management processes
  • Onboarding new starters
  • Access Management across technology platforms
  • Raising changes and ensuring relevant approvals are sought
  • Desktop computing builds
  • Desktop imagine configuration and management
  • Active Directory management
  • Network and firewall configuration
  • Configuration and management of tools such as: Office 365, Bluecoat, Fresh Service, Crowdstrike, Manage Engine, JAMF, Slack, Jira Technical Service Catalogue

Ideally to be successful as Senior Service Desk Engineer

  • Previous experience in a 2nd line role
  • Proficient in Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Windows Server Infrastructure; 2012R2/2016/2019
  • Exposure to PowerShell
  • Exposure to network and firewall configuration/management
  • Experience in a customer-oriented environment
