Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in driving impactful change within a growing UK-based services bank? We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our client to support and lead on critical initiatives.
About Our Client:
Our client is a growing services bank in the UK with a European heritage, committed to delivering exceptional financial solutions. This is a newly created role that will work alongside the Head of Change to support the growth and change of this financial services institution in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Overview of the Role:
As the Senior Project Manager, you’ll be at the heart of project delivery, working closely with various business lines and departments. This role End to End and involves hands-on project management from capturing requirements to post-delivery support.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business lines to gather and document requirements.
- Design tailored solutions to meet change needs, leveraging SME input or independent research.
- Lead the development of business cases to secure governance approvals.
Project Management & Delivery
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly outcomes.
- Support teams in understanding project goals and required outcomes while maintaining clear documentation and tracking milestones.
- Roll out process changes, system upgrades, and lending policy enhancements.
Change Implementation & Risk Management
- Ensure all projects comply with UK regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Identify risks and devise mitigation strategies to address challenges.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
External Collaboration
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including vendors, regulators, and partners, to ensure project alignment.
- Represent the organization in external meetings and working groups.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of tools and services.
Compliance & Governance
- Adhere to PRA and FCA Conduct Rules, including delivering good outcomes for retail customers.
- Operate within a lean governance framework, applying the appropriate delivery methodology based on project complexity.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is advantageous.
Experience
- Significant project management experience in regulated financial services, specifically within small UK banks.
- Familiarity with regulatory change projects, lending processes, transactional accounts, and cloud-based technologies.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Teams, JIRA, and Visio.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and mediate conflicts effectively.
