Job Title: PMO

Salary: £90,000 - £95,000

Location: London / Peterborough - Flexible Working

PMO is required to join a foreign exchange industry. You will be reporting directly to the Chief of Staff & Director of PMO. You will be required to apply Project Management capabilities and delivery focus to high profile business change projects. Management and oversight of complex and cross-functional programme portfolio in a fast paced and challenging business environment. To ensure that projects are delivered within agreed timeframes, within budget and with high quality standards. Work with PMO Director and manage PMO junior team members, to interface with individual projects leads in the business to develop, design, and enforce project plans, finances and apply best practice governance standards across all project deliveries. Provide accurate and timely project updates statuses and escalate issues that put the target date and/or benefits at risk.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management across all levels of the business, including C-Suite interaction. Be able to present reports and updates to SLT level, and experience in production of monthly summaries to Board level. This role will oversee multiple projects concurrently that may have competing priorities, resources, and timelines, which you will be required to prioritise and manage stakeholders accordingly.

Responsibilities:

  • Review of complex global projects to ensure delivery on time and on budget to achieve successful business outcomes

  • Support the development and initiation of new project ideas, and provide guidance in developing these into Business Cases and then into fully fledged programmes of change activity including support documentation plans & financials

  • Identify and manage key internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, and support communication strategies required across the business

  • Work to assist project leads in governing budget for approval and manage them subsequently

  • Identify key project milestones and complete overall reviews, conduct Release Readiness reviews, Business Go/No-Go reviews and capture key lessons learned

  • Role model positive, collaborative, and agile ways of working with all areas of the business with clear thinking and strong communication, being able to lead working groups to facilitate resolution of issues and blockers to delivery

  • Comply with policy, audit, and legal requirements such as Health & Safety, and the GDPR, and follow company policies

  • Work closely with key internal teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and transition to BAU

  • Facilitating collaboration and communication between the technical teams at Travelex, customers, and partners where required

  • Support PMO Director with reviewing multiple projects and ensuring a PMO framework is present within the business unit

  • Oversee and work closely with Junior Project Managers, to manage workloads, project plan and financial reviews, continuously build PMO skillset, share best practice and learnings, and develop implementation strategies for delivery of the wider change portfolio

  • Effective communication and presentation skills at all levels of the business, including to C-Suite level

  • Proactively maintain good working relationships, both internally and externally

  • Meeting project deliverables & success criteria

  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and constraints to swift resolution throughout the project lifecycle

  • Monitor project progress, prepare and implement appropriate reporting in line with project governance requirements across various stakeholder levels

  • Organise, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings and workshops as required to achieve successful delivery of projects

  • Interface with finance at all levels to ensure tying of financials from projects to budgets and key reporting metrics

  • Look to continually improve templates, governance, and ways of working in the PMO to best improve project delivery

Experience/Skills:

  • Experienced Project Manager with a history of cross-functional project delivery

  • Proven work experience as delivery focused Project Manager

  • Experience in project management and PMO, from conception to delivery

  • An ability to prepare and interpret project documentation, including project plans and financial trackers

  • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management

  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control

  • Hands-on experience with project management methodologies and tools across both waterfall and agile

  • Ability to use own knowledge and experience of delivery to forewarn on potential risks and conflicts across the portfolios

  • Strong relationship building / development skills (internal and external)

  • Strong teamwork, strong analytical and technical skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent planning skills

  • PMP / PRINCE2 / AGILE certification is a plus

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar is a plus
