Senior IT Service Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager

Salary: up to £75k (+ car allowance, bonus and benefits)

Location: Maidenhead

I am currently working with a World Leading Pharmaceutical company who are actively seeking a Senior IT Service Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager.

Reporting into the Director of IT Compliance and Information Security, the Senior IT Service Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager will own and drive the DR and IT/Business Continuity programme, ensuring all applications and infrastructure are classified based on business criticality and that system design and architecture are sufficiently robust in alignment with the classification.

This role will develop disaster recovery plans for each system in collaboration with IT Systems Owners and drive testing of those plans and in addition, will assess the IT processes to determine their criticality to supporting Business operations.

Required Experience:

  • Disaster Recovery management practices and protocols, including in-depth knowledge of ISO standards ISO22301 & 27031
  • A strong understanding of Operational risk and resilience, Business Process improvement methods as well as risk related control frameworks and practices (COCO, COSO, ISO, ITIL, CMM, COBIT, etc.)
  • Detailed knowledge of compliance practices, corporate policies, laws and regulations governing BCP/DRP
  • Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reporting.
  • This person needs to be able to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Ability to recommend continuity and recovery strategies and complete a cost/benefit analysis to compare the cost of implementing business continuity strategies against the value of the assets at risk.
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to establish and maintain an enterprise-wide awareness program and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Ability to lead projects and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
