Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager

Contract type: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Location: London, hybrid with 2 days a week in central London office

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Reports to: Principal Project Manager

We are working closely with one of the largest and diverse higher education institutions in the world who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior IT Project Manager. The institution is in the process of delivering large-scale transformation projects and want to ensure that IT-enabled change is delivered successfully.

This role is crucial due to focus on high profile projects including large-scale system implementations. Responsibilities will include planning, management, coordination and financial control of IT and Digital projects for both new solutions and enhancements to existing technology.

You will be:

  • Providing management for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale digital and IT projects

  • Working closely with Project sponsors, senior stakeholders and stakeholders across the business

  • Producing business cases, project initiation documentation and planning while ensuring projects commence on strong foundations

  • Working collaboratively with IT teams, IT managers and Head of IT

  • Supervising the work of project teams where required

Skills:

  • Experience of 4+ years as a Senior IT Project Manager

  • Strong demonstratable experience implementing enterprise level solutions and systems

  • Strong experience using PM and software development methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile and Waterfall etc

  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops at all levels

  • Project Management qualifications (Prince2, PMP, AMP etc)

  • Desirable - PRINCE2 Practioner, ITIL or equivalent qualifications

  • Preferred experience in higher education
