Full Stack Senior Engineer | up to £85k | React | Node | Kubernetes | Python | Health Tech

Fully remote OR 1 or 2 office days per month in London.

Do you want your work to do some good in this world?

About us

We are a well-resourced data technology start-up with the single-minded purpose of transforming the scale and value of health data usage.

Our mission is to deliver better, safer and faster health data at any scale.

Our technology fully anonymises any individual's data before uniting it with that individual's data in any other source. This creates a critically required united view across sources without transferring personal information outside of its original setting.

The result is a product that is safer and more highly scalable than legacy pseudonymisation solutions and vastly more efficient than collecting slow, complex and costly consent to share data.

The experienced team is commercialising this technology into products for life science, payor and health system customers in the UK and Europe against limited competition. The Company will be a major player in supercharging an addressable market estimated to grow quickly to at least $20bn by 2026.

What is the role?

We're looking for a collaborative, curious, ambitious, hands-on senior software engineer to help build our modern healthcare data exchange network. As a Senior Software Engineer, we expect you to have strong design and coding abilities, relevant start-up skills and experience in contributing to a high-performing development team.

You'll be a major part of the cross-functional design team, working with our excellent developers, data engineers and medical specialists.

Beyond being an important early member of the team at this exciting stage in the Company's trajectory, you will have an opportunity to evolve and grow your role as the Company and our commercial resource base continues to grow.

The team strives every day to build a positive team culture, supporting and empowering each other to grow as engineers and people in order to achieve our critical mission.

What will you do?

You will collaborate with our growing international team to develop innovative, secure and well-engineered systems. In the process, we also want you yourself to learn and grow as quickly as possible. More specifically, you can expect to:

  1. Be a major contributor to architectural decisions and implement them

  2. Build out greenfield, dev, test and production versions of our new platform

  3. Research, prototype, and recommend new technologies and frameworks

  4. Develop solutions that navigate the special requirements of critical, sensitive health data

  5. Pitch in wherever required and of interest to further our build-out: we're a start-up run by highly experienced people, but we don't presume to have all the answers. We want you to contribute and be part of defining the technical and social culture of the business.

Core requirements

We value relentless drive, persistence and positive energy, fuelled by a true passion for using data to improve outcomes. We believe success in your role will require:

  • Overall experience and background

    • 6+ years SaaS software engineering and operations experience

    • A positive, can-do orientation towards making the team succeed

Bonus points for...

  • Strong training and personal development support

  • 24/7 employee assistance programme

  • 25 days of holiday + bank holidays
